Delivery Area

We currently deliver within Great Britain only. However, we’re planning to introduce international shipping for seeds and selected products from our Botanical Lifestyle range in the future. When international shipping becomes available, eligible products will be clearly marked with an ‘International Shipping Available’ tag, and our Age and Country Restrictions page will provide an overview of the products that can and can’t be shipped to different locations.

If you’re based outside of Great Britain, including Northern Ireland, and would like to be notified when shipping becomes available to your region, please contact us and we will be happy to let you know when this service is introduced.

Collections

We do not offer a collection service unless this has been arranged with us in advance. As a working nursery with a small team, we’re not usually open to visitors. This allows us to focus our time on plant care, propagation, product preparation, and order fulfilment.

Postage Costs

Your delivery charges are calculated automatically at the checkout based on the contents of your order. As a general guide, typical delivery charges are:

  • £5 for orders containing small items only, such as seeds, spore prints, and some botanical jewellery, with a total weight of up to 750g.
  • £10 for medium parcels weighing up to 10kg.
  • £15 for medium parcels weighing over 10kg and up to 20kg.

A medium parcel can typically hold up to 9 plants in 1 litre pots or up to 25 plants in 6cm pots. Small items such as seeds and spore prints may also be included in the same parcel with these items.

Delivery Method

All orders are dispatched using Royal Mail Tracked 24®.

Royal Mail Tracked 24® aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch, although this is not guaranteed and delivery may occasionally take longer. If your order contains a live plant or other perishable items, please ensure that someone is available to receive it promptly at the delivery address, or that any delivery instructions can be followed without delay.

If delivery cannot be completed, Royal Mail may leave instructions for rearrangement or collection. It is the customer’s responsibility to act on these promptly.

Tracking Your Order

Tracking details will be sent by email either from us or directly from Royal Mail, depending on how your postage is booked. The email will usually be sent the day before dispatch or on the day of dispatch.

Dispatch Times

Orders are dispatched on Mondays, or on the next working day where there has been a bank holiday. To be included in the next scheduled dispatch, payment must be received by 1pm on the day before dispatch.

Where possible, we will keep customers informed of any delays outside our normal dispatch times.

Cold Weather Dispatch for Live Plants

During colder months, dispatch days for live plants may be adjusted according to forecast temperatures to help protect plants in transit. For example, if our usual Monday dispatch is likely to expose cold-sensitive plants to unsuitable overnight temperatures, we may dispatch later in the week when conditions are safer.

Where appropriate, live plants may also be sent with heat packs at no additional cost.

If conditions become continuously unsuitable for dispatch of cold-sensitive plants, affected plants may be made temporarily unavailable in the online shop. If you have already placed an order for such an item, we will contact you to offer either a refund, or the option to hold the order until temperatures are suitable for safe dispatch.

Live Plants and Perishable Items

Many of our products are living or perishable items and may be affected by transit times, weather conditions, and delays once dispatched. For this reason, customers should:

  • Ensure that the delivery address is correct.
  • Make sure that the parcel can be received promptly.
  • Unpack and inspect the parcel as soon as possible after delivery.

Delivery and Order Issues

  • Damaged or Incorrect Orders: If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review the issue and respond promptly.
  • Failed Deliveries: If a parcel is returned to us because delivery could not be completed, we may contact you to arrange redelivery. Please note that additional postage charges may apply.
